Medication Update!

Shire is launching VYVANSE, the first Prodrug Stimulant. I’m excited about this one because it is supposed to be effective for up to 12 hours- a real boon for those who need full day/early evening coverage. This should be helpful for kids who need that extra coverage for getting homework done. It also has a low profile for abuse. You can read more about this new medication at www.vyvanse.com . Look for it this summer- ask your doc if it is right for your kiddo.
