Brain Age- ADD Style

Have you ever played those Brain Age games on the Nintendo DS System? I have the first one and my daughter is encouraging me to get the second version, saying it's way more fun. Or maybe she's trying to tell me that I need to keep working on my memory. Ahem. She's right.

Anyway, it got me to thinking that maybe we need to develop specific ADD Brain Age games to help sharpen our cognitive skills in a fun way. So here is my list to get your ADD brain going today:

What is the color of the interior of your car? (I ask because I need to buy a new car and when the salesman asked what interior color I wanted, I had no clue what mine currently was, even though I'd just gotten OUT of my car minutes ago).
Name ONE of your grade school teachers. Get an extra bonus for remembering two or more. 10 points if you can remember what they look like.
What is your parents' Anniversary date?
If you had a family pet as a child, who named it and how did they come up with that name?
What was the phone number of the house you last lived in? Extra points if it was 10 years ago or more.

4. Kemi, aka Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. My father named him, he was the son of an amazing dog name Smoke.I don't know why he had that long name and don't think I ever knew, so that's not "forgetting." It's "out-of-it," maybe

I was completely unable to stop talking unless I was thinking about stopping talking, and how long could that last?

Mrs. Pearson was a very nice woman and I never felt she was unfair. I was just humiliated, though, and afraid my brother would come down the stairs from the eighth grade room right above ours, and find me there. He was the "bad" one, and would have been gleeful to see me there.

Ahh....I see. Do you remember at the time that you were unable to stop talking?
I got into trouble once in elementary school. Someone asked me for the answer to a test question and when I told her to leave me alone because I didn't want to get into trouble, sure enough...I got caught. The teacher made me stand in the corner. I was terribly humiliated and horribly insulted at the unfairness of the whole thing. Do teachers still do that?

Oh, I remember that very clearly. I could show you where I was sitting and everything. Kenny Colton sat right in front of me and never objected to the chatter, either. He drew pictures of jet fighters and they always had "USA" on them. One day I asked him what that meant and he hesitated just a second before he said, "United States Airplane."

Hm. Okay.

How funny that we remember these things- I love the airplane story. I remember telling Mindy to stop asking me for answers to the questions. I can SEE her face so clearly and can picture where in the room I was forced to stand in the corner.
