Look at the Mouth!

The news was important- he needed to tell me, to share his day. But I was in major distraction mode. Sound familiar?

I recalled how I got through college; by sitting in the front row so that I could see my professor's mouth moving. If I couldn't see, I couldn't hear. If I can't hear, I can't learn.

So next time you find yourself drifting, remind yourself: LOOK AT THE MOUTH!

Even if I did not sit at the front of the class, I was always a student who watched the teacher. I remember a couple in particular who would turn around form the board, scan the croud and appeared almost startled that I was looking at them. I also had teachers that would "aim" their lectures towards me via their body language becasue I was one who looked at them.

There was one class my brother and I took together. We called the Prof professor Bore. He spoke in a monotone. We sat in the front row and both watched him most of the time.

Well, you learn something new everyday! I thought I was the only one who watched the profs mouth and body language in class!
