Terry,
I love the blog. What a great way to stir conversations and present new ideas! Thanks, Peggy! Great seeing you here. How's the art work coming along?
Great article on the Omega-3 oils. Interesting . . . wonder if i should go ahead and continue gradually encorporating Flax oil into my cooking? (Vegan source of Omega-3s. Good replacement for eggs!)
That's a good question! I don't know enough about vegan diet to know how much Omega/Flaxseed is suggested. Wish I could help you there!
Terry Terry,
It's interesting that you should comment on Omega 3s. Last month, after some interesting problems, I decided to try the Omega 3 regimen. So far, and there's no way to tell if it's placebo effect or real, my brain's staying on longer. My poor long-suffering hubby has noticed it too! The blog is great! Now to get my ADD wrapped around the idea that you're such a computer whiz! Hugs, Kris A little off topic, but speaking of medications and studies, are there any new drugs along the lines of Straterra (not a controlled substance, works on norepinephrine reuptake). My physician started me on it when it was new on the market, and it worked well, but had some unpleasant physical side effects, so I stopped taking it and I've been taking ritalin. The Stratterra felt different, and seemed to work better on my brain and I'm wondering if there's anything like it out there.
Hi John,
I know there is a new drug currently in clinical trials. I've heard through the grapevine that like Strattera, it is also a non-stimulant. When I find out more about it, I'll post it here. Terry I have recently begun to think I have ADD and I am interested in the Omega 3 options for treatment. What are the recommended dosage levels? Does body weight matter?
This BLOG is a great idea. Its about the fastest and easiest way to communicate with a large group of people these days. I will stay tuned for more posts. Thanks. Hi Robert,
The source I've been using is at http://www.omegabrite.com/ where I order Omega for my daughter. You need to make sure that you buy only the purest form of Omega. This researcher has written a book on it, which I ordered and found helpful. Good luck and let us know how you fare. Terry |
