Don't Make Me Have To Iron Again!

Yea yea...you know how I hate to iron. Years ago I found the perfect solution; a steamer that is portable enough to travel with. And I did. More than just a travel steamer, I used it at home ALL the time because I simply cannot iron. I end up with more wrinkles, not less.

So imagine how upset I am that my favorite steamer of all time, which died a few months back, is apparently unavailable. Anywhere. It's called a Sunbeam Garment 4026 Iron and here's a picture of it:

If you happen to see one online, please let me know. I've searched and no one carries it anymore. And I am desperate. :: sob ::

Hi Doug,

Y'know...after I posted that, I went to eBay and found one, bid and won it. It was used, but hey, I was desperate! But I didn't see two, so I'll go check again. I could use a backup; Sunbeam emailed me back to say they aren't manufactured any more. This is THE best thing since take-out menus.

Joann's online has one, made by Rowenta. $29. I've seen one in Joann stores, too; in fact, what I saw looked just like yours pictured above, but that was a year or two ago. At any rate, Rowenta is a top brand, and might even be better than the Sunbeam.

Thanks for the sleuthing. I actually purchased the Rowenta when my beloved Sunbeam died and the darn thing broke after only a couple of uses.

But the good news is...I found a Sunbeam on eBay!! It's used, but works just fine. I may look for a backup for when that one dies, though.

I had a steamer 15 years ago and I LOVED it. I don't iron, trust me no one would want me to iron, so it's either the cleaners, wash and dry again with the hopes that I take it out of the dryer right away to avaoid the wrinkles OR hang in the bathroom when the shower is on (better than nothing I guess)
So this will be helpful, I need another one
