ADD Version of Fly Lady

Have you tried Fly Lady? I think she has great ideas and is wonderfully motivating. But...I'm not so sure she's ADD "friendly." When I signed up for the newsletter, the emails and tasks overwhelmed me. I gave up.

So...I am officially launching my own ADD Organizing Chore of the Day- right here (I WILL come up with a better title; probably the next time I'm in the shower. Though the acronym is OCD...hmmm...that might work).

Let's have fun with this, ok? Those of you who complete the chore, please post your progress here on the blog.

Ok, ready? Here's today's chore (well, it's late, so think of this as your Sunday to-do):

Choose ONE (1) junk drawer - and I know you have many - and throw out 10 items. Yep, just 10. Dump em in the trash.

Those of you who are advanced OCDers, feel free to take a photo of your before and after drawer. I'll post them here. Just send to: blog@addconsults.com

Hey Terry, the OCD that's cool!

I'm actually pretty good at setting up systems. I even follow them now that my systems are better suited to the way I work.

However, I am looking for some direction in working with my ADHD 12 Yo son. We are about to move to a new house. I am considering finding a consultant to come and spend a day helping to set up his room. I have no idea where to look to start. Know anyonw in the Cincinnati area?

That sounds great. I need some help in this area. I tried the FlyLady a few years ago, before I even knew I had ADHD and there were just toooo many emails and too little time. SO I stopped them.

I will go through one of my many "junk drawers" in my kitchen today

let's see how it goes .....
