ANNOUNCING!
NEW VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OFFERS EXPERT CAREER DEVELOPMENT
ASSISTANCE FOR THE AD/HD STUDENT POPULATION
Do you know of
a student who seems unfocused about his/her career?
In today’s job market, finding a career that works for you
is not easy. It’s even harder to find a
good fit if you have AD/HD, LD and other challenges. Very few career counselors
really understand AD/HD. In fact, many
make stereotypic assumptions about people who have it.
Now,
students can benefit from the expertise of Wilma Fellman, M.Ed., LPC, a veteran career counselor, author and speaker,
with a specialty in working with AD/HD,
through a new, online course offering many of the advantages of face-to-face
counseling—at a fraction of the price.
Finding a Career
That Works For Students With AD/HD¸ the
comprehensive Four-week course provides a systematic, structured, career
development process for the AD/HD student population, and includes real-time,
virtual discussions moderated by Ms. Fellman.
Where? The course is now offered in your own
private, classroom forum, on a secured Web site, here at ADDConsults.com. Click HERE to Register!
Students will learn at their leisure:
in the morning, after their summer job, at their own computer; in the middle of
the night, if they can’t sleep…in the
comfort of their own home, instead of going out to a class or counselor at
night!
Textbook:
Finding A Career That Works For You, (W. Fellman) MUST be in-hand for first day of class!

What People Are Saying About Finding a Career That Works With AD/HD
Testimonial from actual
client of Wilma Fellman:
I had spent years
exploring new businesses and jobs only to find boredom and frustration after a
couple of years for every job. Nothing
seemed to be fulfilling and exactly what I was looking for from my career. My personality profile did not seem to fit
into any career that I had had previously. I knew I had to take a different approach this time.
At 40, I was diagnosed with adult AD/HD, and while it
didn’t surprise me, the diagnosis helped me understand my frustration with my
work life. I realized that I was not
capable of sustaining some of my career choices because of my unique personal
profile that is not conducive to almost everything I chose to do
previously.
With Wilma’s
help, I developed a personality profile of myself. It was very helpful to take multiple profile tests to compare the
results to see the common elements about myself in all of the profiles. I had a history of just picking businesses
out of thin air, and doing the sophisticated analysis of “that sounds
interesting and it could make some money”.
Wilma establishes
a process that starts with hundreds of careers and boils them down based on the
person. The process itself gave me the
confidence in my career choice. I was
not surprised by the results, but I never thought of how certain careers can
bring out the positive characteristics in a person.
It is nice to
know that I have chosen a career that will actually reward me for who I am, as
opposed to having to figure out a way to compensate for certain characteristics
that negatively impacted my job performance.
However, the most
beneficial part of Wilma’s counseling specifically to AD/HD individuals, is
that she really understands the AD/HD person like me. For example, Wilma understands that many people like me get
bored with their career, and so she provides a unique list of hobbies that
fulfills the urge for change jobs.
It sounds so simple, but it is a lot less disruptive to
change hobbies than to change careers. I have just started an agency for artists to promote their work to the
public, and now know that my work has to involve interaction with people,
creativity, ownership, undefined and changing schedules, and more subjective
evaluations of success. Wilma’s career
counseling provided that choice by narrowing things down, until it became a
“bull’s-eye” in my mind. Thanks, Wilma!
